Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will support the maintenance department with the strategic and tactical support of the operations at the Hamilton Precision Metals facility. The Maintenance Technician will work on both preventive and daily initiatives. They will trouble shoot solutions and a variety of mechanical and electrical issues. The Maintenance Technicians will collaborate with operators to determine root causes of problems as well as conduct basic training of operators. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and has no direct reports.
Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot and repair a variety of electrical and electronic control equipment including furnace temperature control
systems, AC and DC motor controls and variable speed drives, relay logic and programmable logic controllers, and
other electronic instruments as required. - Uses blueprints and schematics to isolate and diagnose faulty equipment using ammeters, multimeters, oscilloscopes
and other test equipment as may be required. - Replaces defective components using soldering irons and hand tools. Adjust mechanical parts such as furnace
gas control valve linkage using hand tools, calibrates and aligns equipment according to manufacturer's
specifications. - Maintain a high degree of precision and accuracy in all work assignments. Maintains work area in an efficient
and organized state. Record data and maintain pertinent records. - Will perform work otherwise not covered in the Electronic Electrician job description, up to that person's
personal ability. - May be asked to participate in continuous improvement activities, individually or as a team member. Actively seeks to continuously improve standard work techniques or processes leading to, but not limited to decreasing lead time, improve quality, decreasing set-up time and/or processing time to reduce costs and expand business.

Electronics Electrician. - Performs routine set-up and process adjustments inherent to the production process and monitors the product
quality by visual observation and review of process data in accordance with meeting customer specifications. - Abide by all plant safety rules and procedures. Immediately report any unsafe conditions, acts, near misses, and injuries.
Properly wear and care for all Personal Protective Equipment. Communicate and submit ideas for any safety issues.
May be asked to participate on Safety Teams.
Qualifications:
- Requirements for an applicant to qualify include a high school education or equivalent and a successfully completed
training program in industrial electronics. Must be familiar with theory and operation of solid-state electronic drives
and control systems. Must have the ability to operate a towmotor. Must be able to work independently with minimum
supervision.
