Role and Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of software and system test engineers.
  • Define and implement test strategies, standards, and best practices across projects.
  • Review and approve test plans, test cases, automation frameworks, and validation reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes, quality metrics, and release readiness.

Test Planning & Execution

  • Develop comprehensive test plans covering functional, integration, system, regression, performance, reliability, and usability testing.
  • Lead verification and validation activities for desktop applications, embedded software, and instrument systems.
  • Ensure complete traceability between product requirements, design specifications, and test cases.
  • Coordinate testing activities across multiple product releases and engineering teams.

Test Automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
  • Improve automation coverage for software, firmware, and instrument validation.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to improve release efficiency and product quality.
  • Evaluate and adopt modern testing tools and technologies.

Defect Management & Quality Assurance

  • Lead defect triage meetings and drive root cause analysis activities.
  • Track quality metrics and provide regular reports on product quality trends.
  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality processes and applicable regulatory requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with software, firmware, hardware, and systems engineering teams.
  • Participate in requirements reviews, design reviews, architecture discussions, and risk assessments.
  • Support customer issue investigations and validation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams across multiple locations.

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • BE degree in Electronics & Communication\Telecommunication\Computer Science.

  • Strong communication skills ability (written, verbal, and electronic)
  • Good problem-solving skills
