Job Title:  Sr Strategic Sourcing Specialist

Summary of Position:

Responsible for leading strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier transitions, cost reduction programs, and global supply base optimization. The role will drive supplier migration projects from the United States to low-cost regions such as Mexico and India while ensuring continuity of supply, quality, and delivery performance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic sourcing projects across direct and indirect spend categories
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that achieve annual cost savings objectives
• Identify, evaluate, qualify, and onboard suppliers in Mexico, India, and other low-cost regions
• Manage supplier transition projects from existing US suppliers to approved global sources
• Coordinate cross-functional project teams including Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain
• Lead RFQ, bid analysis, supplier negotiations, and contract execution activities
• Drive supplier consolidation and development of preferred supplier strategies by category
• Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, cost, and service metrics
• Mitigate supply chain risks associated with supplier transfers and global sourcing initiatives
• Provide regular project status updates, savings tracking, and executive-level reporting
• Support new product development teams with sourcing, quoting, and supplier qualification activities

Position Requirements:

• 5-10 years of strategic sourcing or procurement experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field; degree from a highly regarded university preferred
• Demonstrated history of delivering measurable cost savings through sourcing projects and supplier negotiations
• Strong project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
• Experience managing supplier transition and localization projects to low cost regions including Mexico and/or India
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms
• Experience with supplier selection, RFQ management, contract negotiations, and supplier performance management
• Global mindset and proven ability to work effectively with international teams and suppliers
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Ability to work US Central Time core business hours
• Experience with reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Domo, Tableau, or ARAS – (PLM), NCMR, quality data
