We are looking to recruit a Production Technician to support the manufacture and assembly of our world-class instrumentation.
As a Production Technician, you will play a key role within our production team, supporting the build and preparation of components and assemblies used in the manufacture of mass spectrometers.
You will be responsible for carrying out hands-on production tasks in a safe, organised, and efficient manner, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning and preparing components prior to assembly
- Constructing wiring looms and mechanical sub-assemblies to specification
- Following standard operating procedures and engineering instructions
- Completing tasks accurately and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised work area
- Using tools and equipment correctly and reporting any issues promptly
- Supporting continuous improvement within the production department
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production schedules
Skills and Experience
Essential:
- Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
- Ability to follow written instructions and technical documentation
- Good manual dexterity
- Strong time-management skills
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised working environment
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or assembly environment
- Previous experience with electrical wiring or mechanical assembly
- Familiarity with clean or controlled production environments
- Understanding of quality standards and procedures
