Position Summary

 

The Quality Engineer (QE) is a technical leader who collaborates with multiple departments to ensure quality and delivery goals are achieved. The QE applies analytical and problem-solving techniques to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Interpret, implement, and conform to customer requirements
  • Develop and approve quality procedures
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans and standards
  • Oversee calibration systems in accordance with AS9100 standards
  • Coordinate new product launches and design changes
  • Manage quality inspection and auditing activities
  • Analyze customer complaints and returns
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean and Six Sigma
  • Provide auditing and compliance support
  • Support MRB activities and corrective actions
  • Evaluate suppliers and materials
  • Generate First Article Inspections (FAI)

 

Required Skills and Abilities

 

  • 5+ years (QE) or 8+ years (Sr QE) experience in manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong customer interaction experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, Lean methods
  • Proficiency with inspection tools and systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer skills (Word, Excel, Oracle, etc.)

 

Education and Experience

 

Mechanical or Industrial Engineering degree preferred. Experience in Quality Assurance and ISO/AS environments preferred. ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is a plus.
