Job Title: Project Engineer- Mechanical

As a Project Engineer, you will be a key member of the Product Engineering team, responsible for providing advanced engineering support for our product designs. You will prioritize the mechanical design team’s day-to-day assignments and manage multiple projects concurrently, serving as either the lead or support engineer depending on each project’s scope and scale. In addition, you will prepare and deliver detailed data packages to support internal and customer-facing technical reviews, ensuring accuracy and clarity in all technical communications.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Work in a cross-functional technical team to develop new improved product designs
- Communicate and present to both internal and external customers
- Support program management in planning and executing project assignments
- Support continuous improvement for process and design improvements
- Provide technical guidance and direction on day-to-day mechanical related challenges
- Be responsible for development activities which may include leading or participating in:
- Concept, planning, preliminary, final and qualification phases
- Risk assessment
- Design reviews (TIM, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.)
- Create engineered 3D models, drawings, test plans, and technical reports
- Responsible for recording and sharing technical lessons learned with colleagues
- Perform drawing reviews for technical accuracy and clarity
- The Project Engineer may be required to assist in managing the Mechanical Design and Drafting team’s day-to-day priorities.
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- Minimum of three years’ related design experience
- Minimum of three years’ experience in 3D modeling, SolidWorks preferred
- Excellent verbal & written communications; ability to clearly present complex information
- Ability to multi-task and to adapt to rapidly changing priorities
- Effective listening skills-leading to well-informed solutions
- Critical thinking-using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or new approaches to solving reoccurring problems
- Complex problem solving-identifying complex problem, implementing effective solution

- Strong computer skills including:
- Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, etc.
- Basic SolidWorks 2D or equivalent drafting package
- Basic SolidWorks 3D modeling capabilities
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work for prolonged periods on a computer or in a lab environment
- Ability to move test equipment up to 25 pounds
- Limited travel required to support customers and qualification testing as required
