Job Description: 

The Process Engineering position requires a self-motivated, skilled engineer to develop and implement efficient production processes. The candidate should be familiar with various machining techniques, including milling, drilling, and grinding. Be able to utilize software for planning and simulating production processes. The position also requires a hands-on approach to learning and analysis along with the ability to work with people of all skill levels.

 

What You Will Do in the Role:

  • Developing, planning, and implementing new process controls to maintain quality
  • Performing analysis of machining operations to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborating with design engineers to optimize product design for efficient manufacturing
  • Creating detailed work instructions and training employees’ new processes
  • Addressing and troubleshooting issues that may arise during production
  • Makes recommendations for improvements in products in terms of improved cost and quality.
  • Trains and instructs other workers as assigned
  • Always maintain a clean safe work area
  • Complies with company rules, policies, and procedures. Reports any problems circumstances to manager
  • May, on occasion, perform other related duties to aid other teams on request

 

What You Will Bring to the Role:

  • Experience as a Machining Process Engineer or similar role
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced high pressure environment
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point is a necessity
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience with manufacturing machine equipment preferred
  • Experience with corrosion preventative finishes a plus

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work for prolonged periods on a computer or in a lab environment
  • Ability to move test equipment up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to support limited travel to support customers and testing as required

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $80,000
Salary Maximum:  $95,000
Incentive:  No
