Job Description:
The Electronic Assembly Department Lead ill enable company success by leading production personal performing work requiring mechanical and technical knowledge and specialized skills in the Electronic Assembly department.
What You Will Do in the Role:
- Interacts and connect with individuals to monitor and improve the "area of responsibility" morale.
- Maintain daily metric updates.
- Motivates team and peers to create a positive and winning environment.
- Provides input for new designs and processes, interfacing with the appropriate engineering department. Responsible for the recognition and implementation of Continuous Improvement techniques such as Lean 6σ Manufacturing, 5S, Cycle Time Reduction etc.
- Communicates with supervisor planning resources within team area for weekly and daily production.
- Provides clear daily priorities and objectives to his/her manufacturing team.
- Training and mentoring within responsible team.
- Ensures monthly training, audits, including shelf life, calibration and 5S are completed.
- Accurate record keeping of team training, vacation, and PTO time.
- Works with Operations Administrator to coordinate ordering of supplies and tracking of team’s vacation and personal time.
- Engages in initial employee conflicts seeking resolution with guidance/mentoring. Early identification and detection of causes of employee conflict.
- Keeps a structured day with built in flexibility to manage expected versus actual process level metrics/indicators
- Problem solves to address gaps in daily process area metrics/indicators, and/or lead/participate in focused problem-solving teams to address gaps within functional area
- Monitor’s manufacturing process visual controls and organize plans to address out of control situations.
- Present relevant company information to his/her team.
- Present team performance information to stakeholders and relevant managers.
- Create and sustain a safe work environment.
- Comply with all safety/company policies and follows procedures.
- May, as assigned, perform other related duties.

- Knowledge of shop practices, material control, quality control, and manufacturing processes. Ability to interpret drawings and specifications and to use a variety of precision measuring instruments.

- Proven communication skills.
- Associate degree or equivalent experience (On the Job Training)
- Soldering and assembly experience working in a continuous improvement manufacturing environment
