Job Title: Production Assistant

Job Summary:
The Production Assistant at RTDS Technologies Inc. supports the assembly of the RTDS digital real-time power system simulator by performing a variety of tasks that ensure efficient production operations. This role involves receiving and handling of components, inventory, and equipment, and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to meeting our high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the Production Manager, participate in the preparation and kitting of components and assemblies used in the RTDS Simulator
- Report shortages and quality issues to appropriate team members
- Handle shipping and receiving duties
- Become familiar with the company ERP system
- Ensure inventory is accounted for, including cycle and yearly inventory duties
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience working in a production environment
- Community college diploma, or equivalent experience, in purchasing, supply chain management or related field
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- Comfortable with physical tasks involved with material handling (lifting, moving boxes, standing for extended periods and walking)
