Job Summary:

The Production Assistant at RTDS Technologies Inc. supports the assembly of the RTDS digital real-time power system simulator by performing a variety of tasks that ensure efficient production operations. This role involves receiving and handling of components, inventory, and equipment, and requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to meeting our high-quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the Production Manager, participate in the preparation and kitting of components and assemblies used in the RTDS Simulator
  • Report shortages and quality issues to appropriate team members
  • Handle shipping and receiving duties
  • Become familiar with the company ERP system
  • Ensure inventory is accounted for, including cycle and yearly inventory duties
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Community college diploma, or equivalent experience, in purchasing, supply chain management or related field
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness and ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Comfortable with physical tasks involved with material handling (lifting, moving boxes, standing for extended periods and walking)
