Job Description: 

AMETEK Aerospace and Defense is seeking a strong Contract Administrator / Customer Service Representative for the Commercial and Military Service Business with a proven track record of success to join us in Wilmington, MA.  This individual will embrace a culture of customer centricity deliver great customer service in this global, multi-site business unit that designs and manufactures highly engineered sensors and fluid management systems for aerospace applications.  The customer service organization for services consists of multiple representatives and will report to the Manager Contracts & OEM Customer Service.  Candidates for this position must be willing to travel up to 10%.

 

This position reports directly to the Manager Contracts & OEM Customer Service:

 

  • Oversee customer accounts, handling negotiations, quotes, orders, and shipments
  • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers, supporting their needs and aligning with AMETEK's business objectives. Collaborate with various departments, including Sales, Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to customer solicitations and general PO inquiries
  • Manage assigned OEM customer repairs to minimize Quote and Repair TAT’s
  • Actively seek solutions to meet OEM customer needs and ensure uninterrupted production
  • Execute tactical tasks such as financial reporting, including budgeting, actuals, forecasting, and meeting reporting requirements. Maintain regular communication on key customer accounts
  • Ensure all contracts and related documents are meticulously maintained, accurately recorded, and systematically organized
  • Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including price escalations, amendments, renewals, and terminations. Monitor contract performance, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with terms.  Resolve any issues or disputes that arise during the contract lifecycle
  • Ensuring contracts adhere to legal and regulatory requirements and assessing and mitigating potential risks associated with contracts
  • Convey contract terms and requirements to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of their obligations
  • Manage relationships and provide support to external Sales Representatives and their customers to ensure alignment with AMETEK's goals and customer needs. Identify opportunities to increase sales and finalize contracts with existing customers

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; Business Analytics is strongly preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience working with customer service, production or materials Planning, and/or planner-buyer; some knowledge and understanding of aerospace and military systems preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with MRP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is desired
  • Strong negotiation skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively negotiate contract terms and conditions with various parties, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and fostering positive relationships
  • Working knowledge of FARS, DFARS and WAWF is desired
  • Proven team player who has demonstrated high attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical, verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills
  • Travel: some travel up to 10% of the time may be required
  • Due to contracts with the United States Government, candidates must be either US Citizens or Greencard holders

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $65,000
Salary Maximum:  $85,000
