Job Description:
The Quality Final Inspector is responsible for performing final and in-process inspections of assemblies, subassemblies, components, and parts to ensure full conformance to approved engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements prior to shipment. This role serves as a critical quality gate, ensuring product conformity, documentation accuracy, and compliance with applicable FAA, customer, and internal quality system requirements
Key Responsibilites:
- Perform in-process and final inspections of mechanical and electromechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and components using visual inspection, measurement tools, and functional testing methods
- Conduct functional and operational testing using appropriate electronic and test equipment to verify product performance and compliance to acceptance criteria
- Verify product conformity against approved drawings, work instructions, inspection procedures, and acceptance test procedurtes (ATP)
- Identify, document, and communicate nonconformances in accordance with established quality procedures
- Accurately complete all required inspection records, travelers, inspection reports, and logbooks
- Review production and inspection documentation to confirm all required manufacturing, inspection, and testing steps have been properly completed and documented
- Ensure inspection records are legible, complete, accurate, and traceable
- Prepare products for shipment by verifying completion and accuracy of all required documentation, including inspection and test data
- Ensure required approvals and signatures are present prior to release
- Forward product and documentation to Shipping in accordance with procedures
- Inspect nameplates, labels, or identification markings to the drawings as required to maintain product identification and traceability
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of experience performing final or quality inspection in an aerospace or regulated manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Experience working within FAA, AS9100, or equivalent quality systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effective time management skills.
