Job Description: 

We are looking for a Production Planner who will be responsible for the execution of all production planning, inventory control activities, and customer support of product lines. You will ensure customer ship dates are met with on-time deliveries & plan and schedule assigned products to ensure customer needs are met in the most efficient and timely manner. You will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating material through the entire manufacturing cycle using the latest techniques and technologies.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate material flow and production schedules to meet customer demands and internal deadlines.
  • Maintain and structure Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manage MRP outputs for efficient planning.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, and customer service to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Analyze capacity and inventory data to optimize production loads and maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Identify and implement process improvements in materials planning and inventory control.
  • Support new product launches and manage surplus/obsolete inventory.
  • Communicate proactively about material shortages and expedite parts as needed.

You are a great fit if you have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Materials Management 
  • 3 years of relevant experience required, 5+ years of relevant experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must be able to effectively communicate technical concepts, problems, and ideas to various levels within the organization
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes required: material/production control and basic lean manufacturing concepts, etc.
  • Proficiency in utilizing MRP is a must
  • Experience with ORACLE preferred
  • A solid understanding of planning principles and an ability to effectively negotiate is required
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
  • APICS Certification desired
  • Must be able to work as an individual contributor and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills are required in this role

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $70,000
Salary Maximum:  $105,000
