Job Description: 

The Director of Sales is responsible for overseeing all aspects of a company's sales operations, including managing sales teams, developing and implementing sales strategies, coordinating customer proposals for timely submission, setting sales targets, analyzing sales data, and ensuring the achievement of revenue goals by leading and motivating their team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company goals, including market analysis, territory planning, and product positioning.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and manage a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Sales Target Setting: Set realistic sales targets for individuals and teams, monitoring progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
  • Sales Forecasting: Analyze sales data to accurately forecast future sales revenue and identify potential challenges.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with key clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track sales metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaboration with Marketing: Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective sales campaigns and generate qualified leads.
  • Budget Management: Manage sales budgets and allocate resources efficiently

 

Qualifications: 

  • The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of defense related commercial experience 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering discipine
  • Proficient in the selling process, with a professional approach to written and verbal communications
  • Highly developed personal organization and time management skills. 
  • Ability to manage several projects in support of customer and business needs, balancing long-term strategic goals and short term initiatives 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $90,000
Salary Maximum:  $140,000
Incentive:  Yes
