Job Description: 

As the Regional Sales Director, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth across the Europe and Middle East optometry and ophthalmology eyecare market sector. This dynamic role is all about developing and executing strategic plans, fostering key partnerships, and leveraging your industry expertise to expand our footprint and boost revenue.

 

You'll report directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing and be a senior member of our sales leadership team. This fully remote position offers you the flexibility to work from anywhere while regularly collaborating with business leadership to create and execute strategy, develop growth plans and budgets, and provide forecasts for operational and financial planning.

 

The Regional Sales Director will:

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan to achieve sales targets, expand market share, and strengthen the company’s position in the eyecare market.
  • Work with both direct and indirect sales channels to develop and execute localized tactical plans for growth.
  • Manage and grow relationships with current National Accounts, including large optometry practices, retail chains, and industry partners.
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and innovation within existing accounts.
  • Manage pricing and discounting to balance growth and achieve profitable outcomes.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management teams to align strategies and enhance value propositions.
  • Build and maintain a robust professional network within the eyecare industry to identify growth opportunities and stay ahead of market trends.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, sales forecasts, and market share growth.

 

Regional Sales Director Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the optometry, eyecare, or medical device industries.
  • Strong knowledge of the optometry/ophthalmology market, including key players and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing best sales practices and tools.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing national accounts and achieving revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel nationally as required.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
  • Adaptability to dynamic market conditions.
  • Analytical skills for performance evaluation and market assessment.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
