Aftermarket Technician: GmbH 

 

The Aftermarket Technician plays a key role in delivering exceptional service and support to our customers. This position is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing equipment to ensure peak performance, while occasionally engaging with customers to provide technical guidance and ensure a positive experience. This role combines hands-on technical expertise and customer focused mindset in a service environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Performs component level diagnosis and calibration. 

  • Able to update electronic and software according to work instructions. 

  • Work closely with engineering team concerning root cause analysis on warranty / field returns. 

  • Performs technical troubleshooting and repair. 

  • Keep work area organized and clean in accordance with 5S initiatives. 

  • Performs rework of product when instructed. 

  • Provide estimate for billable service and repair status. 

  • Support product processing within the Service and Repair team. 

  • Collaborate with Technical Support to establish repair information. 

  • Occasionally respond to customer inquiries and provide technical telephone support. 

  • Ability to interact with Reichert ERP systems. 

  • Ensure all equipment and tools are organized, in good working order and maintain calibration requirements. 

  • Ability to work with multiple departments and functions. 

 

Requirements For Consideration: 

  • Associate's Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field (preferred). 

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word. 

  • Good communication skills. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Willingness to learn new technologies. 

  • Advanced proficiency in both German and English.
