Position Summary: 

Seeking a creative and detailed Product Management Intern to support the development and delivery of our primary control software and related products. This role will be mentored by Senior Product Management and interface regularly with engineering, test, sales and other customer‑facing teams. The intern will contribute by gathering and organizing feedback, defining requirements and effectively improve overall user experience.

This position is ideal for someone interested in software product management, user‑centric design, and cross‑functional collaboration in a technical environment.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Draft and maintain user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria for software features
  • Collect, organize, and synthesize feedback from internal teams, customers, and sales into actionable inputs
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and test teams throughout the development and validation process
  • Support backlog prioritization, and feature tracking
  • Assist in creating and maintaining product documentation
  • Help establish and maintain best practices for software product development, documentation, and communication

 

Position Requirements:

  • Experience or interest in UI/UX design, wireframing, or interface layout
  • Ability to design or mockup UI concepts to support requirements and usability discussions
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, structured documentation

 

Desired Skills:

  • Interest in imaging technology and/or scientific instrumentation
  • Knowledge of networking and network performance optimization
  • Experience with or exposure to Python‑based UI development (e.g., simple tools, scripts, or interfaces used for visualization, control, or analysis)
  • Familiarity with MATLAB and/or LabVIEW, particularly in test, data acquisition, or analysis environments
  • Exposure to Agile or iterative software development environments
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
