Position Overview: The Operations Test Technician plays a critical role in supporting the manufacturing of high-speed cameras by testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting electromechanical subassemblies and electronic PCBAs. This position also involves mechanical assembly and testing of all camera families, ensuring product quality and performance meet Phantom’s industry-leading standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test and inspect subassemblies and PCBAs following established procedures.
- Complete test documentation including data sheets and database entries.
- Debug and repair electronics to the component level.
- Assemble, configure, and troubleshoot all camera families.
- Provide detailed failure analysis and feedback.
- Maintain ERP documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Communicate issues via ticketing system or email to relevant personnel.
- Follow existing processes and contribute to the development of new ones.
- Maintain and calibrate departmental test and process equipment.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electronic testing and troubleshooting.
- Proficient soldering skills (IPC-A-610 standard).
- Strong experience with electronic assemblies, subassemblies, and computer systems (hardware/software).·
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wire diagrams, and block diagrams.
- Skilled in using electronic test equipment.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of ESD best practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy with office productivity tools.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Onsite position at our Wayne, NJ facility.
