Job Description: 

The Quality Auditor Technician role is responsible to ensure optimum product quality and assist engineers with addressing quality issues. The role uses working knowledge of basic quality principles and common industry practices to improve the quality of products. In addition, the position helps the quality team develop creative ways to improve quality systems quickly and efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and create reports regarding various types of technical information as requested.
  • Investigate and recommend solutions to quality issues (RGA, CAPA, NCMR, etc.).
  • Inspects, measures, and records results on any products before, during, and after processing.
  • Records and verifies inspection data in electronic SPC system and prints SPC reports.
  • Notifies Quality Manager of deviations from specifications and initiates NCMR’s and Discrepant Material reports.
  • Perform gage R&R, and first articles, and may aide in validation data collection.
  • Cross-trained in all Quality Department functions including receiving inspection, work order review, shipping verification, and other activities.
  • May be involved in substitute during an inspector’s or technician’s absence.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

 

Requirements for Consideration:

 

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Working knowledge of ISO, GDP, GMP and FDA QSR’s a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic knowledge of computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
  • Ability to take directions from others with initiative and work independently most of the time.
