Job Title: Plant Manager

Responsible for the management, direction and operating results of a manufacturing plant to carry out division production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with quality requirements. Delegate authority through key subordinate managers responsible for production, material control, maintenance, quality control, plant/mechanical engineering, and human resources.
What you will do:

Direct and coordinate manufacturing schedules to meet production objectives established by Division management consistent with sales requirements and plant capacity.

Control quality standards to ensure products meet government, industry, and company specifications.

Oversee building and equipment maintenance, plant security, security and protection including participation in long-range plant expansion, conversion and equipment planning.

Direct and coordinate the conduct of the employee and labor relations within the facility to maintain a positive and effective labor relations climate at the facility consistent with Corporate, Group and Division policies, standards, and applying them to the operation of the plant.

Direct manufacturing support activities, including maintenance, production control, purchasing, inventory, accounting, and service audits.

Direct accounting activities to enhance plant performance, control costs, and protect assets. This includes implementation of cost-effective systems for control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages, and salaries.

Represent the company in community activities to promote Company’s goodwill

Develop and maintain an effective team to support consistent division objectives.

Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in area.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages supervisors who supervise a variety of employees: manufacturing, quality, finance, facilities, and human resources. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
We are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in related field

4+ years related experience within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3+ years demonstrated experience in a leadership role required

Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business and technical documents.

Proficiency in Microsoft required including Expert Excel
-
Strong report writing, business correspondence, and presentation skills.

Mathematical proficiency in probability, statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
