Job Title: Director, Finance

The Finance Director is a critical role on the Advanced Motion Solutions (AMS) Division team, reporting directly to the Division Vice President, Finance of the AMS Division. This role is responsible for implementing automation and standardization across accounting and analytical functions in the division, owning the ongoing planning and reporting cycles in the division, and leading the internal control processes in the division.
What you will do in this role:
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation using software, AI, optimization tools, and shared services.
- Lead all planning and reporting cycles for the division – Weekly reporting, monthly closing and forecast, annual budget, annual strategic plan
- Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and annual presentations of financial results and expectations to leadership
- Manage ongoing ad hoc requests from business unit, division, or corporate leadership on an ongoing basis
- Lead the preparation for periodic business reviews focused on operating performance, working capital, excess & obsolete inventory, and new product development
- Lead all internal controls processes for the division – Monthly, quarterly, annual SOX requirements; Provide support and leadership of internal and external audits
- Collaborate with leadership across the division to achieve strategic objectives – Acquisition research, diligence, and integration; Operational organic initiatives; Capital investment planning
- Ensure continuity of financial reporting and accounting tasks in coordination with the BU Controllers.
We are looking for in a candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, Master's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7+ years in a relevant experience with strong experience working within manufacturing environments
- Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices in financial operations and process automation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills required
- Ability to connect across the organization with a proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong PC and business systems knowledge; advanced Excel skills highly preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of accounting and finance principles, specifically US GAAP
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and integrity
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally 25%+
- Hyperion financial reporting experience preferred
