Job Description: 

The Account Representative will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the specialty metals sector, with a focus on strip line products. This role requires a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, material specifications, and customer application needs.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, ensuring exceptional service and responsiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers in the specialty metals industry, particularly those using strip line products.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure customer requirements are met accurately and on time.
  • Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contract negotiations tailored to customer specifications and business goals.
  • Monitor market trends, customer forecasts, and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage order entry, tracking, and fulfillment processes to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly, coordinating with internal teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical support and product knowledge to customers, including guidance on material selection and application.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts using CRM tools.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing customer feedback and participating in cross-functional projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in account management - manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal staff and external partners.
  • Skilled at managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible, while maintaining focus on routine responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and analytical thinking abilities.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive information with professionalism

 

The Account Representative must also be able to do the following:

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Repetitive and substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures and viewing a computer.
  • Work in an office area with low noise rating as well as make visits to the production area with moderate to high noise.
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including but not limited to: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.

Salary Maximum:  $75,000
