Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Regional Sales Manager to drive growth across our ARI business throughout the Western United States. This strategic, customer-facing role is responsible for expanding existing accounts and developing new business opportunities within the Commercial, Aerospace, and Defense markets.

The successful candidate will combine a strong technical foundation in instrumentation, electronics, or related technologies with a proven track record of managing and growing key customer accounts. Responsibilities include building long-term customer relationships, executing strategic account plans, conducting regular field visits, and identifying opportunities to increase market share and revenue. Effective pipeline management and accurate forecasting through Salesforce.com are essential to success in this role. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven sales professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering customer value while accelerating business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth for ARI product lines across the Western U.S. by identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Maintain a proactive, hunter-oriented sales approach by targeting and engaging Aerospace & Defense OEMs, government laboratories, prime contractors, and other strategic accounts.
  • Build, manage, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline within Salesforce.com, ensuring accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, technical presentations, and solution discussions to understand application requirements and effectively position ARI products and services.
  • Lead technical sales activities in partnership with application engineers, product managers, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including engineers, program managers, purchasing professionals, and executive stakeholders.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and supporting sales documentation as needed.
  • Provide 30, 60, and 90-day sales forecasts, including opportunity status, deal progression, pipeline outlook, and win/loss analysis utilizing the Miller Heiman sales methodology.
  • Monitor and report on customer buying processes, market trends, competitive activity, KPI metrics, weekly sales updates, and customer visit reports.
  • Effectively manage CRM activities, including pipeline development, account planning, task management, and ongoing communication with customers and prospects.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, exhibitions, customer events, sales meetings, and technical seminars.
  • Manage travel and business expenses in accordance with company guidelines and budget requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, export regulations, and ethical business practices.
  • Deliver quarterly business reviews, pipeline performance assessments, and strategic growth recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pricing strategies, proposal development, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements to secure profitable business opportunities.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales of instrumentation and electronics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large strategic accounts and grow new business
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (preferably Salesforce.com) to manage pipeline, forecast, and track customer interactions
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Western U.S.

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific field
  • Experience selling products related to EMC testing, RF/Microwave instrumentation, and/or RF amplification solutions
  • Experience selling to Aerospace and Defense customers
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
