Job Description: 

As a Sales Manager - East Cost, for CAMECA Instruments, reporting to the Regional Sales Director, you will be responsible for developing sustainable and profitable business within the assigned territory. This role focuses on managing the full sales cycle for complex, high‑technology solutions, identifying and converting new business opportunities, understanding customer needs, and achieving targets for revenue, order intake, growth, and profitability in line with company strategy, values, and compliance requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Business Development & Sales Performance:

  • Define and execute a territory sales plan aligned with regional and global sales strategy.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within assigned market segments.
  • Manage a robust and realistic sales pipeline to secure achievement of annual targets.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and prepare quotations and contracts in accordance with company policies.
  • Drive order intake growth while safeguarding margin and profitability objectives.

Customer & Project Management

  • Act as the primary commercial and technical interface for customers within the territory.
  • Develop long‑term, trust‑based relationships with key accounts and strategic customers.
  • Manage complex, project‑based sales from opportunity qualification through contract signature.
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders (sales support, applications, service, marketing, supply chain, finance) to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Represent customer needs internally and ensure alignment between customer expectations and company commitments.

Market Intelligence & Strategy Contribution

  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive activity within the territory.
  • Provide regular feedback on market dynamics, pricing, and competitor positioning.
  • Contribute to regional sales strategy through market analysis and opportunity mapping.
  • Support marketing initiatives, product launches, and promotional activities as required.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date customer, opportunity, and forecast data in CRM tools.
  • Deliver reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts.
  • Prepare regular activity and performance reports for management.
  • Ensure transparency and data quality in all sales reporting.

Compliance & Ethics

  • Conduct all business activities in full compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Strictly adhere to anti‑corruption and compliance requirements, including FCPA, UK Bribery Act, and local laws.
  • Promote and uphold the highest standards of business ethics and professional conduct.

 

Education & Professional Experience :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Additional Business discipline degree/experience considered.
  • Mimimum of 5 years proven commecial sales experience of high-tech products in a field related to materials science, microelectronics or earth science research.
  • Achievement of territory revenue and order intake targets
  • Sales pipeline coverage and conversion rate
  • Forecast accuracy
  • Customer satisfaction and retention

  • Solid technical understanding with the ability to translate customer needs into value‑based solutions.
  • Customer‑focused, result-driven, and highly autonomous.
  • Ability to manage complex sales cycles and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in CRM, ERP, and MS Office tools.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

 

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $100,000
Salary Maximum:  $150,000
Incentive:  Yes
