Job Description: 

The SAP Finance Senior Analyst  (FICO/RTR) is experienced with at least 10 years of experience implementing SAP RTR/FICO to solve complex business issues.  In this role you will Analyze and optimize financial processes in the RTR process area.  Strong communication skills are required to collaboratively progress cross-functional items with other SAP module based workstreams.  This position requires consultative skills to partner well with business stakeholders at all levels in the organization to both understand the business requirements and to deliver scalable solutions compliant with AMETEK policy, financial regulations, and internal controls. This role also requires staying current on SAP best practices and emerging technologies. In this role, you will report to the SAP Finance Senior Manager. 

 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Overall:

  • Delivers implementation and support of SAP FICO modules and related boundary systems (Banking, Ariba, Kyriba, External Tax, Vendor Invoice Management, etc.) while ensuring alignment with AMETEK business requirements.   
  • Multi-project lifecycle experience in independently delivering complete solutions at least two of the following areas is preferred: Fixed Assets, Banking, Product Costing, or Revenue Recognition (RAR)  
  • Configures and supports Event-Based Revenue Recognition (EBRR) and/or RAR integration 
  • Maps current processes to the desired state and identifies gaps while addressing input/output requirements, data conversion strategies, and system / process controls. 
  • Configure customer dunning program, customer down payments, customer incoming payments, credit management, automatic clearing, customer correspondence and integration with SD 
  • Manages end to end project/software development lifecycle deliverables as assigned, including requirement gathering, design, build, testing, training, and production support. 
  • Transforms business requirements into technical specifications, including detailed design with data and security considerations, while using a structured approach to describe configuration, program development, logic coding and corrections. 
  • Works with software developers to ensure understanding of requirements and complete documentation. 
  • Defines RICEFW objects for custom Finance reports, validations, or enhancements 
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members and peers. 

IT Policies and Regulatory Compliance: 

  • Develops and maintains system and business process documentation. 
  • Provides end-user notification and training for new or changed system functionality either in person, through documentation, or through web-based training. 
  • Works within an agile framework to facilitate development teams consistently delivering business value in an environment with rapidly growing business needs. 
  • Applies business and technology expertise to improve business processes and support critical system strategies across technology stacks. 
  • Ensure solutions comply with IT policies, procedures, and regulatory controls, including but not limited to SOX, general IT controls related to auditing, monitoring, approvals, and validation consistent with U.S. 
  • Adheres to relevant regulations, company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10+ years of SAP FICO experience is preferred. 
  • At least 2 (two) complete project life cycles implementing SAP in a complex, global organization is preferred.  
  • Ability to work with business users to identify, organize, and prioritize business needs. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate business needs to development teams in an organized and timely manner. 
  • Ability to stay focused on delivering business value in an environment with dynamic needs. 
  • Ability to communicate complex functional design ideas verbally, in writing, and via design mock-ups. 
  • Understanding of software quality assurance principles and activities. 
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence, Reporting, and related tools. 
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. 
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and complete work in a timely manner. 
  • Demonstrates a positive outlook. 
  • Attention to detail and possess excellent organization and prioritizing skills.
