JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving Brookfield’s sales strategy and execution across South India. This role focuses on revenue growth, distributor development, and strengthening Brookfield’s market position in material characterization instrumentation (viscometers, rheometers, texture & moisture analyzers). The Regional Sales Manager works closely with leadership, marketing, and technical teams to deliver sustainable growth, outstanding customer experience, and strategic market expansion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capability and ambition to progress into broader leadership roles within the organization.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regional Strategy Execution: Develop and implement sales and business strategies for South India, aligned with AMETEK’s corporate objectives.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and drive sales performance within the region, ensuring targets for growth and profitability are consistently achieved.
  • Distributor Network Development: Build, optimize, and support distributor networks through scorecards, training, and joint initiatives to maximize market impact.
  • Territory Expansion: Identify, recruit, and onboard new distributors to enhance market coverage and penetration in strategic locations.
  • Pricing: Support the execution of pricing models to ensure competitiveness and margin objectives.
  • Leadership: Mentor and guide territory distributors, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
  • Customer Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with key accounts through technical sales support, site visits, trade shows, and product demonstrations.
  • Market Intelligence: Collaborate with Product Management to translate customer insights into product development opportunities.
  • Sales Operations: Maintain accurate forecasts, KPIs, and growth tracking tools to support regional reporting and strategic decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing and service teams to enhance distributor resources, training content, and digital engagement tools.
  • Upward Mobility: Demonstrate leadership, initiative, and strategic thinking with the potential to advance into broader roles within the organization.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in sales, business development, or commercial leadership, ideally within industrial or technical markets.
  • Strong technical acumen and ability to support distributors and customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word).
  • Experience with CRM and ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, SAP).
