Job Title: Regional Sales Manager, Northern Europe

The Regional Sales Manager, Northern Europe, will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to drive revenue growth for AMETEK’s Specialty Metal Products (SMP) business within the Northern Europe region. The territory includes: UK, Sweden, Slovakia, Poland, Norway, Netherlands, Ireland, Germany, Finland, Denmark, and the Czech Republic.
SMP manufactures and markets a wide range of products, including precision tubing, powder, and precision strip and wire across materials such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, precious metals, and titanium. End-use markets include aerospace, medical, electronics, defense, nuclear, and oil & gas. This role will work closely with purchasing managers, engineers, commodity managers, and internal SMP centers of excellence to promote and sell SMP products while ensuring a strong customer experience throughout the region.
The ideal candidate will be based in the UK, in close proximity to an international airport, enabling efficient travel throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Planning: Develop, implement, and continuously refine a strategic sales plan to grow AMETEK SMP’s presence and revenue across Northern Europe.
- Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Market Development: Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Prepare and manage sales forecasts and activity reports.
- Collaboration: Coordinate closely with SMP Centers of Excellence teams in the U.S. and U.K.
- Customer Support: Maintain communication with customers to address technical questions.
- Market Intelligence: Collect and analyze market data on trends and competitive activity.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven outside sales experience in metals, materials, engineered products, or relevant technical manufacturing industries.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent.
- Skills: Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills; proficiency in Salesforce.
- Languages: English and German required.
- Travel: Up to 50% travel throughout the Northern Europe region.
