Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Engineer/Manager to lead and grow our CTS and AR businesses in Western North America. This is a high-impact, field-facing role with a strong emphasis on hunting new business opportunities within the Aerospace and Defense sectors.

 

The ideal candidate will possess a technical background in EMC and RF instrumentation and electronics, combined with sales experience managing large accounts. Your role will involve regular customer visits, strategic account development, and accurate opportunity tracking via Salesforce.com.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth for CTS and AR product lines across the Western U.S. by identifying, qualifying, and closing new opportunities
  • Cultivate a hunter sales mindset: proactively identify and engage Aerospace & Defense OEMs, government labs, contractors, and key accounts
  • Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline using Salesforce.com CRM, ensuring opportunity tracking, forecasting accuracy, and reporting discipline
  • Conduct regular customer visits and technical presentations to understand application needs and position our solutions effectively
  • Lead technical sales engagements in collaboration with application engineers and product managers
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including engineers, program managers, and procurement professionals
  • Write proposals as needed
  • Report 30/60/90-day sales forecasts, deal/status/outlook and win/loss using Miller-Heiman format, reference the buying process, market/competitive information, KPI dashboard, weekly report, and trip report
  • Manage CRM database for tasks such as sales funnel management and regular communication with customer/prospect base
  • Attend industry exhibitions and sales meetings
  • Control expenses per management guidelines
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, export regulations, and business ethics codes
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars
  • Deliver quarterly business reviews and funnel performance reports with actionable growth strategies
  • Partner with internal teams on pricing, proposals, and contract negotiations to secure profitable business wins

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of experience in technical sales of instrumentation and electronics
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large strategic accounts and grow new business
  • Proficient in using CRM tools (preferably Salesforce.com) to manage pipeline, forecast, and track customer interactions
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the Western U.S.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related scientific field
  • Experience selling products related to EMC testing, RF/Microwave instrumentation, and/or RF amplification solutions
  • Experience selling to Aerospace and Defense customers
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
