Position Summary:
AMETEK Surface Vision is looking for a high performing, technical Key Account Manager to achieve ambitious revenue growth for the SmartView and SmartAdvisor brands across multiple vertical markets (paper, metals, etc.) in Europe and abroad. You will represent AMETEK Surface Vision solutions to our partners and customers to maximize sales revenue through all sales-oriented activities, including adding value to products, supporting sales promotions, and marketing activities.
In this direct CAPEX sales environment, the candidate will be responsible for working with local and global key accounts across multiple industries, uncovering market opportunities, and working closely with the different teams, including projects, service, marketing, products, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct onsite visits to customers, deliver sales presentations covering all AMETEK Surface Vision products with support from the pre-sales team, and assess technical requirements.
- Apply solution selling techniques to clearly illustrate the value of AMETEK Surface Vision to clients and partners.
- Achieve steady business growth by expanding market share and identifying additional profitable markets and opportunities.
- Enhance the accuracy of sales forecasts and foster the development of a strong sales pipeline.
- Offer feedback to product management to help identify and evaluate potential new markets, applications, and competitors.
- Execute company strategies for managing pricing, profit margins, and costs to optimize both sales and profitability, and collaborate with finance to resolve or collect overdue invoices.
- Within the assigned territory, engage directly with customers across various vertical industries, line builders, and other strategic partner

Experience, Professional Qualifications, and Personal Requirements:
- Extensive experience in the vision industry for CAPEX sales and/or as a user of similar technology.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or natural science or equivalent.
- Experience in some of the following areas: machine vision, surface inspection, web inspection, web monitoring, lighting and optics, quality control system, distributive control system, factory automation.
- Ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value propositions.
- Available to travel 40-60% of the time.
