Job Summary:
We are seeking a driven and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to provide expert on-site calibration, certification, repair, and qualification services for Brookfield laboratory instruments and accessories. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy travel, excel in technical problem-solving, and are passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Service & Support
- Perform on-site calibration, repair, and preventive maintenance of Brookfield laboratory instruments.
- Execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols in collaboration with sales engineers.
- Interpret service instructions and blueprints; contribute to documentation improvements.
Customer Engagement & Sales Enablement
- Proactively schedule and manage weekly service visits (targeting 2–3 per week).
- Educate customers on Brookfield instrumentation and recommend solutions to enhance testing capabilities.
- Identify and pursue upselling opportunities for products and services.
- Promote Brookfield Viscosity Standard Fluids for accurate calibration and optimal performance.
- Train users on proper operation, maintenance, and sensitivity care of Brookfield equipment.
Operational Excellence
- Submit trip expenses within 7 days of completion.
- Complete service tickets and technical reports with accuracy and professionalism.
- Maintain clear communication with the Production Manager and internal teams.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use appropriate PPE.
Additional Duties
- Support training initiatives for Brookfield export dealer personnel.
- Participate in cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement efforts.
- Travel extensively across the Central U.S., with occasional travel to other regions and internationally.
Qualifications:
- Based in: Indianapolis - IN, Louisville - KY, or Cincinnati - OH
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical instructions.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple customer engagements weekly.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in technical documentation, customer training, and service team instruction.
- Solid understanding of AC/DC power electronics and laboratory instrumentation is preferred.
