Vision Research is a Business Unit in the Materials Analysis Division of AMETEK, Inc. Vision Research manufactures industry leading high-speed digital cameras. Our cameras are primarily sold into industrial, academic, defense and government research facilities. We also have a smaller entertainment oriented camera business. Job Overview
The role of EMEA Regional Sales Manager is a critical role for the growth of the company. There is a considerable potential to grow in Europe and the Middle East with both new and existing customer accounts. In this position, the candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies and initiatives for the EMEA market to maximize sales revenue and profitability. . This role is suited to a confident and organized sales professional, who has worked in a similar high technology company. The position will involve a high degree of travel.
Reporting Structure
Reports to the Global Sales Director
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop sales strategies and initiatives to deliver strong growth across the region.
- Manage and develop both direct sales team and channel partners.
- Provide input to Product Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams to help direct the development of new products that reflect market trends and customer needs in Europe.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting for budget planning to the Director of Global Sales.
- Undertake marketing responsibilities locally in Europe, in collaboration with our factory marketing team, to propose and help manage key marketing activities in EMEA intended to build the Vision Research’s Phantom Brand.
Necessary Skills/Talents:
- B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent. MS / MBA is a plus.
- 10+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced technological environment.
- Proven sales track record, delivering outstanding results in prior positions in a high-tech product environment.
- Capacity to build creative sales plans and sales initiatives, capable of having a long-term vision of the business.
- Proven track record in business development, in particular gaining new business in large accounts from scratch.
- Good negotiator with excellent customer relation skills.
Role will be based from one of the Ametek European Facilities or home office.
