Job Summary:

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Division Vice President (DVP), Marketing to oversee global marketing efforts for AMETEK’s Power Systems & Instruments (PSI) Division. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing innovative commercial and digital marketing strategies that drive business growth across multiple brands, product lines, and global markets.

 

Reporting directly to the Vice President/General Manager, the DVP, Marketing will play a critical role in shaping the division’s marketing vision and execution. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong executive presence, exceptional organizational skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams. This leader will collaborate with stakeholders across business units to align marketing initiatives with corporate objectives, manage a global team of marketing professionals, and ensure consistent brand messaging and performance across all channels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Vice President/General Manager and Business Unit Managers by delivering actionable marketing insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations that directly support business growth and decision-making
  • Lead and oversee a global marketing organization spanning multiple time zones, including both digital and commercial marketing teams, ensuring alignment with divisional goals and operational excellence
  • Enhance and unify marketing strategies across the division and individual Business Units, applying consistent best practices while allowing for tailored approaches where appropriate
  • Leverage innovative marketing tactics to strengthen stakeholder engagement, utilizing real-time data and analytics to enable more targeted, personalized, and effective campaigns to enhance customer experience
  • Assess the current marketing organization, talent needs, and market dynamics to identify opportunities for structural improvements and capability enhancements
  • Direct the planning and execution of high-impact marketing events and trade shows, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and measurable return on investment
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends to identify opportunities for differentiation and increased market share across Business Units
  • Drive brand visibility and recognition for each Business Unit through the development and execution of cohesive, integrated marketing plans

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a technical field with a marketing background
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience
  • 5+ years of leadership experience with the ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives
  • Willingness to travel 10% - 25%
  • Due to the nature of our programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code

  • MBA or Master’s degree
  • Strategic thinker who has experience running large, global marketing teams in multiple countries

This position is a remote role. Up to 25% travel may be required. While the role is remote, the ideal candidate would be based near one of our key locations in Southern California, Columbus, OH, Greater Chicago, IL, or Rochester, NY.
