Job Summary:

Ametek is looking for a high-performing sales professional to lead business development and manage strategic accounts in the healthcare and medical device sectors. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and delivering value-driven solutions.

The ideal candidate should have a high sense of urgency to create the best possible customer experience for our customers. We’re seeking a qualified sales representative to help provide our customers with power quality and uninterrupted power supply solutions which are manufactured by the Powervar brand of Ametek. The sales representative will have a strong understanding of the sales process and excel at generating leads, building relationships, and closing deals. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who has strong negotiating skills and an ability to showcase the value we bring a compelling way. Often tasked with giving presentations and attending networking events and trade shows, the sales representative must be both personable and professional with excellent organization and communication skills along with attention to detail and accuracy. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and grow key accounts across clinical labs, hospital systems, and leading medical device manufacturers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders such as lab managers, biomedical engineers, procurement teams, and C-suite executives in healthcare organizations
  • Manage sales and account relationships with leading medical device manufacturers (e.g., Beckman Coulter, Alcon, Agilent, Noah, Intuitive, Stryker)
  • Focus on client engagement of both new account opportunities and existing clients to discover, build value, and move forward with solutions which provide both client and business objective success
  • Blueprint client account structure. Maintain key relationships within departments (i.e., Executive Groups, Sales Group, Marketing Group, Service Group), as needed to ensure high client satisfaction
  • Maintain client database (via Salesforce) and delegate time accordingly to ensure monthly objectives are met. Monitor sales updates, forecasting, reports, etc.
  • Participate in developing marketing strategy and supporting go-to-market plans for new medical technologies and robotics solutions. Provide sales information to management team. Provide analysis and marketing/training assessment needs to support Powervar sales plans
  • Prepare and execute presentations to large groups as needed
  • Coordinate engineering effort when Powervar products are required on new systems
  • Work with management team to define and execute future plans for growth including new applications, new vertical markets, and new product development plans
  • Work with internal departments (Order Entry, Service, Accounting, etc.) to ensure clients remain in good standing and are well-informed. Assist with process improvement initiatives when required
  • Attend trade shows to support sales/engineering teams
  • Travel is expected to be at least 50%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7 years of sales/client engagement experience
  • Power and/or electrical industry experience
  • Experience selling to clinical laboratories, hospitals, and medical device manufacturers
  • Salesforce experience
  • Willingness to travel ~50%

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
  • Experience with uninterruptible power supplies (UPS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word knowledge
  • Power BI and One Note experience
  • Effective organizational and time management skills to succeed in a fast-paced environment  
  • Knowledge of robotics applications in healthcare
  • Familiarity with medical diagnostics, laboratory automation, and robotics solutions

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $100,000
Salary Maximum:  $140,000
Incentive:  Yes
