Posting Date:  Oct 17, 2025
Job Description:

About the Role:

We are seeking an entrepreneurial and results-driven Business Development Manager to oversee and expand our sales efforts across the Americas (North, Central, and South America). As a leading manufacturer of infrared temperature measurement devices for the heavy industrial sector, our biggest growth potential lies in the U.S. petrochemical market. This role will be instrumental in driving our strategy to double business growth in the next 2 years, with a particular focus on accelerating sales in the petrochemical sector.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of scaling businesses in the industrial or technology sectors and will be responsible for leading direct sales efforts and channel partner development across the continent. As this is a remote role reporting to the UK headquarters, you will need to thrive in a dynamic, self-driven environment while managing a team remotely.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Growth Leadership & Strategy: Own the business development strategy for North, Central, and South America, with a primary focus on accelerating growth in the U.S. petrochemical market. Lead the charge to drive market share expansion and develop tailored sales and marketing initiatives that position our infrared temperature measurement solutions as critical tools for the heavy industrial and petrochemical sectors.
  • Channel Partner Management: Build and manage relationships with key channel partners, including distributors and representatives, to drive indirect sales growth. Oversee the onboarding, training, and performance management of partners, ensuring they are aligned with the company’s goals and equipped to sell our products effectively in diverse regional markets.
  • Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Tracking: Generate weekly sales reports and forecasts, tracking progress towards sales targets and identifying areas for improvement. Utilize data to analyze performance, adjust strategies, and ensure your team is consistently hitting ambitious growth targets.
  • Sales & Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the global marketing team to tailor campaigns and go-to-market strategies for the U.S. market. Ensure alignment between sales efforts and marketing initiatives, particularly as they relate to industry-specific needs and market dynamics.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for regional sales performance and strategy, regularly updating senior leadership in the UK. Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, and product development to ensure the smooth execution of sales plans.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in the industrial, manufacturing, or technology sectors.
  • Proven experience in driving sales growth in the petrochemical industry or other related heavy industrial markets.
  • Expertise in managing channel partners, with a demonstrated ability to scale operations and increase market penetration.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach to executing growth strategies in a remote work environment.
  • Fluency in English (Spanish/Portuguese is a plus, especially for South American markets).
  • Experience with sales forecasting, CRM tools, and reporting systems.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with infrared temperature measurement technologies or other industrial sensing technologies.
  • Knowledge of the unique business dynamics and regulations in the petrochemical sector, particularly in the U.S. market.
