- AMETEK is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver complex projects within our manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear and timely communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, Quality, Production, and other internal teams to meet project goals.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project performance and ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives.
- Lead equipment installation and integration efforts, resolving technical and scheduling challenges.
- Ensure compliance with international, military, and domestic regulations, including AS9100 standards.
- Support contract negotiations and assist with certifications, licenses, and insurance documentation.
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively recommending solutions to keep projects on track.
- Manage inventory movement between business units as needed.
- Provide regular updates to customers, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
- Promote and enforce safety and security procedures across all project activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- 5–7 years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with product design, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong business judgment, ethical work habits, and attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot down to component level using gauges and test equipment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as Quantum or similar.
- Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
