Job Description:
Position Summary:
- Provide technical/operational support to the production cells as well as perform disassembly, cleaning, safety wiring and painting of aviation components. Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues, and refers only the most complex issues to higher levels. Will report to cell leads for any technical issues
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make certain that assigned personnel have in their possession and follow the appropriate technical data during the performance of any maintenance function.
- Ensure the proper handling of all parts while being processed through the maintenance function.
- Ensure that work is distributed to qualified technicians within the shop.
- Perform in-process inspections as delineated in the RSQC Manual.
- Ensure that all maintenance documentation is completed legibly and correctly.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment in their respective areas is calibrated and in serviceable condition.
- Ensure all required maintenance actions are performed in accordance with the applicable manufacturers or customer provided maintenance manual and that all actions are correctly and completely documented on the appropriate maintenance forms.
- Ensure that all forms requiring a signature stamp or initials have been completed prior to submitting the unit for final inspection for return to service.
- Confirm technicians in their respective shops perform safe, efficient and quality maintenance.
- Review for accuracy and quality all work performed within their respective shops.
- Ensure the proper handling of all parts while being processed through the maintenance function.
- Ensure that the correct parts are ordered for the specific maintenance function by monitoring the completion of the Work Order Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Ensure that rejected and/or unserviceable parts are segregated from other material to prevent their use as serviceable parts.
- Ensure the proper tagging and identification of parts and components as delineated in the RSQC Manual.
- Ensure that assigned personnel have in their possession and follow the appropriate technical data during the performance of any maintenance function.
- Ensure that preliminary, hidden damage, in-process inspections are thoroughly and correctly annotated on the appropriate forms.
- With the assistance of the production manager, train technicians in the proper work procedures to follow, to include use of dimensional devices, and the procedure for signing out manuals.
- Coordinate any/all necessary duties with the production manager to be assigned to other qualified and certified personnel within the repair stations when scheduled to be out of the office.
- Observes all safety and security procedures.
- Uses equipment and materials properly.
- Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Highschool Diploma or GED.
- Mechanic or Repair Station Certificate required per 14 CFR Part 65.
- A&P license, FCC, Military Technical education/training (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience within the aviation industry.
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic business systems Microsoft Office, Quantum or other internal business management system.
- Ability to work well under pressure, multi task and meet deadlines.
- Looking for a hands-on individual with the ability to see the big picture.

Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting knowledge down to component level using measuring gauges and test equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as Parts Manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must read, write and speak English fluently.
Typical Working Conditions:
- Work will be conducted mostly indoors in a “shop” type environment.
- Exposure to heat or cold will mostly be limited to when walking from one building to another or if bay doors have been opened to allow for shipping and receiving activities. The use of PPE such as safety glasses and safety toed shoes are required in designated working areas.
