We are looking for an Application Scientist (m/f/d) as soon as possible:

Your tasks:

Application development and support, sales support, and product support for internal and external customers of the ICP product line

• Development and creation (sample preparation, method development, analysis, documentation) of customer applications
• Conducting customer instrument demonstrations
• Analytical and technical support for internal and external customers
• Conducting user training in-house or at customer sites
• Advising internal and external customers on application issues relating to ICP products
• Writing reports
• Writing training materials/manuals and (further) development of product/application-related training courses
• Preparation and presentation of lectures at scientific conferences/meetings and sales events at home and abroad
• Creation of publications
• Software and hardware testing, as well as application development in collaboration with product management and development
• Organization and operation of the ICP preparation laboratory and the demonstration rooms (ordering and disposal of chemicals, cleaning and maintenance of the laboratory, maintenance and quality control of equipment, compliance with documentation and safety regulations, etc
• Working location: Tokyo

Job requirements:

• Master or PhD in Chemistry, specialization in analytical chemistry, preferably specialization in inorganic element analysis, ICP-OES or ICP-MS and  >2.5 years of professional experience in a comparable position

• Language skills, at least a very good command of written and spoken English , as well as specialist correspondence (e.g. for specialist articles, etc.) and presentations on specialist topics

• Very good knowledge of standard PC software (MS Windows, MS Office: Word Excel, Power Point etc.)
• Willingness to travel (domestic and international)

• Good organizational skills

• Communicative, friendly and confident demeanor towards internal and external customers
