Job purpose

Korea Sales Engineer will work closely with Asia sales, Pre-Sales, and Service team to drive SmartView and SmartAdvisor business/project. The sales engineer will play an important role in creating and executing a strategic plan to optimize sales growth within current customers, while also developing new business within established and new markets.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Annual and Strategic Planning for assigned territory and accounts.
  • Spend majority of time in the field visiting customers, and regional sales channels/agent to grow pipeline and to develop strategic relationships, securing sustainable business growth.
  • Technically qualify the customer’s needs.
  • Drive sales forecast accuracy and funnel growth.
  • Provide input to product management that helps define and quantify new markets, applications, and competition.
  • Project management-Tracking and managing projects, Supporting local order administration and logistics.
  • Work closely with local commercial team in business development and marketing function / promote new products and exploit opportunities within new markets.
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting to Asia Business Director to include complete forecast by regions and customers. As well as marketing needs for each industry.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Feedback to Asia Business Director on customer information, industry trends and competitor/market intelligence.

  • A skilled negotiator with strong communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-tasking and meet deadlines.
  • Business travel is necessary.
  • Team worker/player but also can work independently.
  • Strong business ethics.

Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:

  • University graduate. A degree in Engineering and/or other technical specialties.
  • Korean language skills (Native level) / English language skills (Business Level)
  • Experience in B to B instruments business, also measurement control and/or Vision as a plus
  • Working experience in Metal/ Paper/ Film/ Battery or other industrial markets would be advantageous.
