Job Description: 

The Finance Manager is responsible for the financial reports and strategic financial planning of the organization. This role requires an individual contributor who will manage all financial processes, provide accurate reporting, and advise senior management on profit-maximizing strategies and risk mitigation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and forecasts for management and external stakeholders. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, and sales results compared to business plans.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage the annual budgeting process and prepare forward-looking financial forecasts that account for market trends and internal factors. Liaise with department heads to address budget concerns and enhance financial literacy across the organization.
  • Cash Flow & Investment Management: Monitor daily cash flow and manage investment activities to ensure the company has sufficient finances to meet obligations while maximizing returns.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure strict compliance with all financial regulations, tax laws, and accounting standards. Develop and maintain robust internal control policies and financial procedures.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and opportunities, proposing solutions and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential issues.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of accounting practices and leverage financial software/technology to streamline processes and improve accessibility of financial information.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Undertake additional analysis and projects as required, providing performance insights to aid growth and resource allocation. 

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-9 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
  • Certifications: Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIMA, or ACCA is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling. Experience with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Navision) and accounting software is required.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
    • Excellent English communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Proven leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
