Job Title: Engineer I

Rauland Florida is seeking for an Engineer I in the South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward or Miami-Dade) market. The Engineer I is to work with the Operations Team to ensure all systems layout/configurations are properly designed for material utilization and labor efficiency. The Engineer I will certify compliance with company standards and procedures, installation per manufacturer’s recommendations, and programming per the scope of work and specification.
Accountabilities:

Prepare low voltage system drawings for submittals and the final record drawing set, review equipment specifications and select equipment to meet requirements, identify equipment/material source and act as a resource for technical issues stemming from installation to final programming.

Provide engineering support including Job completion forms, submittal and record drawings, and programming/test results for the life of the project.

Assist operations team as needed, provide technical support and training to both staff and customers on complex projects, Inspect and or verify as needed that installations meet customer and or code standards along with internal standards.

Coordinate with project management and/or other trades on sites to resolve issues that may arise during implementation.

Project coordination will also consist of a clear understanding and timeline for ordering material, systems and accessories to support the installation of the equipment in an efficient and timely manner.

Coordinate and review the appropriate information from the sales, review the project scope, prepare project documents (drawings, system loads, and equipment configuration).

Required to visit sites for system verification and compliance with testing standards, labeling, verification of installation quality and compliance with installation standards.

Support for the sales team to respond to RFP’s, technical requirements and change requests.

Other duties include meeting with sales and account representatives to coordinate final job completion. Site coordination meetings with customers as requested for configuration and programming.
Minimum Qualifications:

Four-year degree in electronics or electrical engineering and basic ability in 2D AutoCAD.

Or two-year technical degree with 3-5 years of experience in Low Voltage Systems/Electrical design with 2D AutoCAD basic skills.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written skills.
