Job Description: 

Scope of Role:

  • Manage and maintain the Company’s Suppliers by working closely with internal customers such as Operations, Purchasing, Project leaders, Quality, External Suppliers to develop a mutually agreeable relationship.

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure all Supplier Quality System documentation is maintained and in accordance with the Supplier Quality Manual for New Product Introduction suppliers
  • Improve Supplier Quality Metrics ensuring non-conformances are subject to disposition in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for source inspection activities for resourcing activities, and to support New Product Introduction.
  • Expertise to carry out robust problem solving using 8D Root Cause, Corrective action with Suppliers.
  • Drive Improvements to the Supplier Quality metrics with rigorous improvement to Root Cause identification and robust corrective Action closure.
  • Promote / Support Continuous improvement / lean practices within the Supply Chain.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, quality, and engineering, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Competent in conducting audits on Supplier Sites.
  • Support the Supplier selection strategy and audit processes for New Product Introduction.
  • Support Strategic Purchasing team during regular business reviews with key suppliers.
  • Support 3rd party audits as required

 

Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions

  • Undertake training that is identified as a requirement of the role as identified by the role Manager.
  • Undertake all other reasonable requests that are made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors.
  • At times of reduced department staff attendance there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • On occasion you may be required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to training, department associated tasks and brief secondment to other departments.

 

Limits of Fiscal/Management Authority

  • Not permitted to change Business Management System processes, procedures and guidelines without formal approval but expected to make recommendations.
