Job Title: Production Assembler- Prototype Wireman

Scope of Role:
· To build mechanical and/or electrical assemblies to technical drawings, SOP’s and CMM’s
· To upgrade and repair mechanical and/or electrical assemblies.
· To test assembled product.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
· To undertake electrical wiring work, installing cabling, wires conductors and connectors within enclosed systems
· Capability of soldering, crimping, cabling, sleeving & harnessing; working with mm wire and AWG
· Experience of Proto-type wiring along with sound mechanical ability
· Proficient at fitting and wiring components from electrical schematic circuit diagrams and blueprint drawings
· Carry out, where appropriate, mechanical and electrical tests as defined in the process control documents. For example: Flash, resistance and inductance
· Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures.
· Complete all relevant documentation.
· Provide any information or help required to customers, suppliers and visitors from other companies within our group of companies who often tour the factory floors, and may well take the opportunity to examine parts, talk to staff or watch them carry out their work. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be able to communicate at all levels.
· Participate in any Continuous Improvement and 5S activities that affects the quality or output of the product.
· Where PPE (personal protective equipment) is provided, you will be required to use it.
· Carry out all activities as defined above in a timely manner to ensure the company manufacturing targets are achieved.
· You will be required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to, training colleagues in line with local skills matrix, department associated tasks and brief secondment to other departments.
Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions
· Undertake training that is identified as a requirement of the role as identified by the role Manager.
· Undertake all other reasonable requests that are made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors.
· At times of reduced department staff attendance there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.
