Scope of Role:

 

The Aftermarket Material Controller will form an integral part of the Operations team to achieve the Operational Objectives of the business, reporting into the Senior Aftermarket & Inventory Planner. They will have strong time management and workload prioritisation skills, coupled with experience in Stores, Goods-In and Dispatch areas. They will understand and maintain the expectations and requirements of working to aerospace standards, especially regarding traceability and materials handling. The candidate will be expected to have a hands-on approach when required in all areas of their responsibility. Experience of using an MRP system is desirable.

 

Main Duties/Responsibilities

 

· Receiving components and materials from customers and suppliers

· Kitting and issuing components and materials to the shop floor as specified by the Works Order in a timely manner to meet repair turnaround schedules

· Goods inwards documentation checking, goods checking & acceptance of deliveries to stock

· Control and maintain traceability of all materials within agreed aftermarket areas.

· Understand, report and work to minimise impact of bottlenecked areas.

· Ensure all internal & external paperwork practices comply to the current quality business standard within BMS (Business Management System).

· Measured business drivers

o Picking and Kitting of Works Orders

o Material Receipts and putaways

o Booking-in Incoming Units

o Kit shortage reduction

o Dispatch Transactions

o Daily Picks

o Works Order Processing

o Sub-Contract processing

o Shelf-Life monitoring

o Inventory reduction when applicable

 

Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions

 

· Undertake training that is identified as a requirement of the role as identified by the role Manager.

· Undertake all other reasonable requests that are made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors.

· At times of reduced department staff attendance there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.

· On occasion, you may be required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to training, department associated tasks and brief secondment to other departments.
