Job Description: 

Initial Sampling and Part Qualification:

  • Planning and execution of initial sampling and part qualification for new parts, in coordination with Engineering where required
  • Creation of initial sampling notifications and part qualification plans; internal tracking and coordination of the process through to completion and release approval
  • Definition and tracking of appropriate corrective actions

 Supplier Management and Development:

  • Implementation of a preventive supplier management approach, among other things to increase delivery performance
  • Planning and execution of supplier audits
  • Development of strategic supplier development programs in coordination with Strategic Purchasing
  • Improvement of process and product quality at the supplier
  • Evaluation and definition of appropriate measurement methods at the supplier

 

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Successfully completed technical training (Technician qualification) or alternatively several years of professional experience in supplier development
  • In-depth knowledge of supplier management and ramp-up / launch management
  • Open and effective communication within the team in English, German is a plus
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally (approx. 30–40%)
  • High sense of responsibility, initiative, and willingness to learn
  • Confident demeanor and assertiveness when dealing with suppliers and business partners
  • Proficient user knowledge of SAP R/3 MM and MS Office
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
