SUMMARY

We are looking for a Staff Accountant at our Subotica, Serbia facility. In this role you will be responsible for general accounting, as well as, operational accounting including accounts payable, payroll and other analysis and reporting. The successful candidate excels while working in a fast-paced environment. The individual should be self-driven and able to work independently as well as working in a small team environment.    

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process and submit bi-weekly payroll files to corporate payroll. Create and post entries related to payroll in the GL.
  • Complete month-end payroll and vacation accrual entries.
  • 3-way match invoice with purchase order and receiver and enter voucher information into the Accounts Payable (AP) module for payment.
  • Review AP expenditures to ensure accuracy and compliance with the Company’s Expenditure policy (DLA).
  • Generate payment output files for the shared payment center.
  • Prepare and submit wire payments into the AMETEK wire transfer database. Record payments in AP module once completed.
  • Submit and maintain vendor remit-to information via the AMETEK banking callback database.
  • Complete daily customer invoicing, ensuring compliance to Company’s Revenue Recognition Policies (ASC606).
  • Process invoices on customer portals to ensure timely collections and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare documentation for quarterly SOX audits including ASC606 and Revenue Recognition.
  • Other various ad-hoc accounting related responsibilities as assigned.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
  • Three to five years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Prior accounts payable and payroll experience required.
  • Strong excel skills and prior ERP experience.
  • Very detail oriented with a strong inclination to follow up and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Excellent communication skills (English) both written and verbal as this position interacts with management, employees and third parties on a regular basis.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently once training has completed.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines.
