Nu Instruments Ltd is a sub-business of Spectro Analytical based in Wrexham, United Kingdom.

 

We are an agile manufacturer of complex engineered components, and we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team in Subotica, Serbia.

 

This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of sourcing, supplier management, and cost control, while working closely with engineering and production teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and manage suppliers for a range of parts including machined and fabricated components, cable assemblies and electronic units (UK and global)
  • Interpret technical drawings to identify the most suitable manufacturing route and supplier
  • Lead supplier negotiations on cost, lead time, and performance
  • Manage MRP and ensure continuity of supply for assigned suppliers
  • Resolve supply and import issues quickly and effectively
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers

 

About You:

  • Proven experience in a technical/scientific manufacturing purchasing role
  • Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings
  • Strong knowledge of machining and/or fabrication processes
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
