Senior Buyer

Nu Instruments Ltd is a sub-business of Spectro Analytical based in Wrexham, United Kingdom.

We are an agile manufacturer of complex engineered components, and we are looking for a Senior Buyer to join our team in Subotica, Serbia.

This is a varied role where you’ll take ownership of sourcing, supplier management, and cost control, while working closely with engineering and production teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

Source and manage suppliers for a range of parts including machined and fabricated components, cable assemblies and electronic units (UK and global)

Interpret technical drawings to identify the most suitable manufacturing route and supplier

Lead supplier negotiations on cost, lead time, and performance

Manage MRP and ensure continuity of supply for assigned suppliers

Resolve supply and import issues quickly and effectively

Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers

 

About You

Proven experience in a technical/scientific manufacturing purchasing role

Confident reading and understanding engineering drawings

Strong knowledge of machining and/or fabrication processes

Commercially aware, proactive, and able to work independently

Excellent communication and negotiation skills
