Job Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst
Subotica, RS, 240000
Position Summary
MCT is seeking a self-sufficient Senior Business Systems Analyst to support ERP and other business applications across its business units worldwide. The role combines business process knowledge, application support, and data analysis to keep systems running and help the business through change.
The ideal candidate has a strong ERP background and a sound understanding of end-to-end manufacturing processes, learns new systems quickly, and takes issues through to resolution with limited day-to-day direction. This is a hands-on role, not a requirements-only business analyst role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ERP and Business Application Support
- Provide senior-level support for ERP and other business applications used by MCT business units worldwide.
- Investigate and triage application and data issues, and work with business users, internal teams, and vendors to resolve them.
- Learn new ERP platforms and business applications quickly, using a sound foundation in end-to-end manufacturing processes.
- Own assigned incidents and enhancement requests from analysis through resolution.
- Work with vendors and support partners on configuration and technical changes by providing a clear issue description and business context.
- Support business users through process and system changes, including testing and training.
Business Process and Solution Analysis
- Work directly with business teams, such as Finance and Operations, to understand business needs and system issues.
- Understand and improve end-to-end processes, such as order-to-cash and procure-to-pay.
- Recommend practical solutions, using standard application features or process changes first and custom changes only when needed.
- Balance local business needs with divisional standards and long-term support.
Data and Issue Analysis
- Analyze data issues using SQL to find where data is wrong, missing, or out of sync.
- Follow data across systems and interfaces to pinpoint where a failure occurs.
- Review logs and interface errors to narrow down the cause of failed processing.
- Investigate reporting issues using tools such as Power BI.
- Dig into issues until the cause is found, share clear findings with the teams or vendors responsible for the fix, and follow through to resolution.
Projects, Testing, and Continuous Improvement
- Support ERP and application upgrades, implementations, and acquisitions.
- Develop test scenarios, run or coordinate testing, and support business acceptance.
- Assist with release and cutover activities.
- Document business processes and issue resolutions.
- Identify recurring issues and manual work, and recommend improvements that reduce support effort.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience supporting ERP or business applications in a functional or technical-functional role.
- Strong hands-on experience with at least one major ERP platform in a manufacturing environment.
- Sound understanding of end-to-end manufacturing business processes.
- Working SQL skills to query and reconcile application data.
- Experience analyzing data issues and tracing failures across applications and interfaces.
- Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with business users and technical teams.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting multiple ERP platforms or business units in a global manufacturing environment.
- Experience supporting business applications beyond ERP.
- Familiarity with common database, integration, and reporting tools.
- Experience working with international teams across time zones.
