Job Description: 

Role Summary:

The Procurement Head for the Compliance Test Solutions (CTS) Business Unit is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery across the unit’s operations. This role oversees procurement planning, supplier management, contract negotiations, and risk management while ensuring alignment with the company’s overall business objectives and sustainability goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Procurement Management:

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business unit goals.

• Drive cost savings initiatives without compromising quality and delivery.

• Identify and onboard strategic suppliers and partners.

2. Supplier Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.

• Ensure supplier compliance with contractual terms and company standards.

• Monitor supplier performance and address any issues proactively.

3. Contract Negotiation and Management:

• Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.

• Ensure legal and regulatory compliance in procurement agreements.

• Manage long-term contracts and ensure periodic reviews.

4. Operational Excellence:

• Oversee procurement processes, including sourcing, purchasing, and logistics.

• Implement best practices for procurement efficiency and transparency.

• Ensure timely procurement to avoid production and operational disruptions.

5. Cost Management and Budgeting:

• Develop and monitor procurement budgets for the business unit.

• Analyse spending patterns and implement cost control measures.

• Drive initiatives to optimize Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

6. Risk Management:

• Identify procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions.

• Develop and implement mitigation strategies.

• Ensure continuity plans are in place for critical suppliers.

7. Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement team.

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and training programs.

8. Sustainability and Compliance:

• Ensure procurement practices align with environmental and social governance (ESG) principles.

• Adhere to corporate policies, ethics, and regulatory requirements.

• Promote sustainable procurement practices.

• Cost savings achieved through procurement initiatives

• Supplier performance and compliance metrics

• Procurement cycle time and efficiency

• Risk management effectiveness

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum 10-15 years of procurement experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Experience in electronics manufacturing procurement environments.

• Proven track record in supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing, and cost management.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and procurement tools.
