Job Description: 

Job purpose:

Provide a point of contact for production related technical issues. Provide initial fault diagnosis of sensor build. Provide initial fault diagnosis and remedial actions on production tools. Provide a continuous view of production quality and routine feedback to the manufacturing and engineering managers. Ensure process controls are adhered to, maintaining a high-quality output. Ensure the quality of parts entering the production line are suitable for production purposes. Act as the first line of engineering resource to ensure all tools run to required standards.

 

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Attend twice-daily line-leader meetings with the operations coordinator, as required to support the production team
  • Follow established working procedures and ensure team members do so as well.
  • Monitor production quality regularly, ensuring high quality finished product, escalate issues to the Manager and Quality Department.
  • Optimize production line efficiency by monitoring productivity and quality, using a Quality Control Process Chart, updating central records
  • Maintain a fully operational, safe and tidy work environment based on 5S principles.
  • Identify and resolve production line problems.
  • Instil a culture of high quality standards and continuous improvement.
  • Training and supervision of new production line workers.
  • Report Key Performance Indicators on a weekly basis
  • Ensure routine maintenance of tools and processes is completed in a timely and safe manner, ensuring production is affected as little as possible.
  • Communicate effectively with the line manager.
  • Communicate effectively with the Quality team (communicate issues).
  • Ensure the line manager is aware of issues.
  • Maintain documentation and logs.
  • Do what is possible to accommodate special requirements.
  • Show support and cooperation with other staff in the use of resources.
  • Show respectful and positive attitude towards staff and colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:

  • Willingness to be flexible.
  • Willingness to conduct further formal training.
  • Good IT skills, inc. knowledge of Excel/Outlook/Word.
  • General maintenance experience and knowledge of toolsets.
  • Good communication skills
  • Capacity to solve problems and deal with Team members
  • English language B2
  • Engineering degree
