Job Title:  Operator / Assembler (m/f/d) NPD

The General Assembly Operator is responsible to the “Operations Manager” for activity relating to the production of RF Microwave Amplifiers, this includes RF Cable Assemblies, Sub-Assemblies of Microwave Amplifiers, Electrical cable assemblies, and the construction and build of the overall system. It will also includes surface mount (SM) work to build PCB Assemblies, microwave modules and the substrating of microwave modules.

Within the Production area the Operator will:

1.    Assemble combiner/dividers to Milmega drawings within the high standard of Quality.

2.    Assembly & Wire sub-assemblies to drawings and RF requirements.

3.    Manufacture Cable assembly to wiring schedules and circuit diagrams.

4.    Assemble RF and Microwave Amplifier systems including mechanical build and electrical wiring.

5.    Perform Surface Mount manufacturing, including module substrating.

6.    Assist in the Production of prototype units to Engineering sketches and instructions.

Training will be provided against an agreed development plan, which will seek to build the individuals existing knowledge of Production techniques, to support the individual so that high performance can be achieved.

Qualifications and Experience.

•    Have worked in a production environment, utilizing assembly processes & soldering skills to a high standard, including the capability to work with surface mount components. In addition, the ability to read electrical and mechanical assembly drawings and have a proven ability to participate in solving problems in the Production environment.

•    IPC-A-610 or similar qualifications would be an advantage.

•    Knowledge of Continuous Improvement processes would be an advantage.

•    ONC or equivalent qualification in Electrical & Electronic principals.
