Job Description: 

Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing RF Engineer - Electronics Assembly & Test include: 

  • Focus on developing, implementing, and optimizing production processes, layout, fixtures, test tools, ensuring quality standards, and implementing efficient manufacturing practices. 
  • Work on improving productivity, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality within the manufacturing operations. 
  • Analyze production data and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Engage in monitoring production lines and cells, optimizing workflow, and troubleshooting any issues that arise during manufacturing. 
  • Participate in the development of new products with Engineering, on industrialization aspects. 
  • Drive PFMEA (Process FMEA). 
  • Establish and optimize Work Instructions / SOP's. 
  • Advise and trains employees. 
  • Take actions enabling Lean transformations (5S, Standard Work and capacity scenarios, VSM, Kanban). 
  • Take actions enabling Continuous Improvement. 
  • Anticipate technical developments in production (investments and technology watch). 
  • Carry out the technical follow-up of subcontractors / suppliers. 
  • In this function, you report directly to the Operations Manager. 

Position Requirements: 

Must have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within electronics industry 
  • Good working knowledge of current common RF / Microwave test methods and equipment. 
  • Experience in writing manufacturing and work instructions 
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills & Root Cause 
  • Team player, flexibility and resilience 
  • Strong communication skills in English 

Nice to have: 

  • Strong troubleshooting and process optimization skills 
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma certification, project management skills, and knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards 
  • Experience with High Voltage up to several kV 
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (Navision as an advantage)
